The best I can Be-Jacob Edmond

When I feel my best and when I am really happy with myself is when I am drawing. I really like drawing. The best thing about it is that I am good at it.

My favorite thing to draw in people. I have gotten really good at it. The main reason it is my favorite is because it is what I am best at doing. Now that I have gotten good at drawing people, I have started drawing other things such as backgrounds.

What makes me feel good about being a good artist is when people acknowledge it. Since people know that I am good at art they have started asking me to draw things. One of my friends asked me to draw him a picture for his birthday. It really makes me feel important.

I learned most of what I know about art from my older brother. He is a really good artist. He has encouraged me a whole lot. When I thought I was doing bad and wanted to give up, he kept me going. He has always told me how good I am. I think that's why he is such a good artist. He is always modest and never brags.

I still have a lot that I want to learn, and I don't think that I will ever be famous, but I don't think that that is what makes me a good artist. It is whether or not I am happy with myself. -Jacob Edmond

The Best That Can Be-Jessica M. Pinckney

The best that I can be

daughter,niece, sister

Even more than three

Whatever it is, It is all up to me

I write a lot of poetry. I am not that good at writing poetry, but I enjoy it. Writing poetry is the only constructive way to vent all my little problems that don't really matter to anyone but me!

Writing poetry is very relaxing. It takes me mind off everything around me. Writing stories helps me to talk to people. I enjoy writing because it is fun. I like it when people read my stuff, enjoy it, and they relate to it. My plans are that when I have a big collection of writings I will combine them and publish them.

My influences are old but unique and one of a kind. Some examples are Edgar allen Poe,Charles Dickens, Willian Shakspeare, Luis Lowry, and R.L. Stine. Many people influence me.

A Writing Prompt by Brandon Painter

Once upon a time I was fishing off the coast of Daufuskie Island. All of a sudden..... a thirty foot alligator out of the water and introduced himself. Hello, my name is Brian. I was so suprised that he was talking. The next day I saw Brian the alligator was riding a skateboard. I asked him if I could have the skateboard. NO, I'll get you one of your own. The next day brian gave me a skateboard. It was blue and red. From that day on we went skateboarding every week. The End.

A Writing prompt by Czerny

Once upon a time I was fishing off the coast of Daufuskie Island. All of a sudden... while I was riding in my boat, a large boat came and ran me over. My boat was torn to pieces.

Then a fish tail came out of the water. I was so afraid. Then I said, "what is that?" I saw a mermaid. It was a little girl, half fish, half person. It was so cool. Then she touche me.It felt like a persons hand, like my hand. Then she pulled me to shore.

I went back home and I said to my mother, " I saw a girl mermaid." My mother laughed at me and said,"there are no mermaids in the ocean."

The next day I was fishing and my friend the mermaid came and gave me a big fish. I said,"thank you for the fish." She said," you're welcome my friend" , and we became great friends and she taught me to swim and I taught her to read books. The End.
