    Elgin's present Mayor is Paul L. Grooms. The fire chief of Elgin's fire department is Lewis Booth. Elgin has its own police station, the police chief's name is Harold Brown. Elgin's town council members are Joe Romer, Bill Salter, John Storemski, and Don Williams. The town clerk of Elgin Is Judy D. Darby.  Our Elgin school board representative is Mrs. Jimmie Rose.
