Police Chief Harold Brown

Mr. Harold Brown is Elgin's police chief. He was born on August 10, 1949, in Alabama. He was a boy from the city. He's what they call an "army brat." Mr. Brown was part of the scouts and had fun as a boy. He attended Blaney, which was 1st grade through 12th grade. Everybody knew everybody, and Mr. Brown says that he enjoyed the smaller schools better than the larger. Some of his hobbies as a child were scouts, explorers, and cub scouts. As a teenager, he was into band and played the saxophone. During a typical day in high school, Mr. Brown would get up around 5 'o' clock and pick up some help for the business and go to school. Then at lunch he would go and check on the business. After school he'd go to work and then see a movie or go swimming depending on the weather.

Harold Brown met his wife when he was fifteen. He married Kathy Moak Brown. Together they had three daughters; Anita, Fran, and Heather. His daughter Heather is a fifth grade teacher at the local school. Mr. Brown has two grandchildren; Jared and Nikki, which he now has custody of. He now is the police chief of Elgin and wishes to stay here. Mr. Brown says that if he could change anything in Elgin, he would want to make it prettier. "It's a nice, friendly little town, but it's ugly."  Harold Brown plans to stay here for a while, and be Elgin's police chief!
