Family History Gathering Event 2013

Where: Double Branch Baptist Church Fellowship Hall

When: Saturday, February 23, 2013

Time: 10am to 4pm

Bring a cover dish to place on buffet table.  Paper goods, utensils, tea, and ice will be furnished.

This is NOT a family reunion. This is an event for everyone interested in researching their family history, dating back to the early settlers of Orangeburg District and all the connecting counties.

Bring your family history material, old photo's, old documents, bible records, obits, etc... to share with other researcher's. We will have the Orangeburg County cemetery and Death certificate books for sale, as well as others, from the Orangeburg Historical Society (Salley Archive) We will have the Aiken and Barnwell County Cemetery books from the Aiken Barnwell Genealogical Society for sale.  The Orangeburg German Swiss Society will also be there with their publications to sell.

There will be many family history books on display so bring your camera's, printer, or laptops so you can get copies of what you need.

Donations for the event will be appreciated.

The Salley Archives in Orangeburg has agreed to open it's doors from 10am to 4pm for those interested in joining us for a day of research On Friday Feb 22nd before the event on Sat. We will break for lunch at a nearby restaurant then return to continue researching.

Laptop's and camera's are now welcome in the Salley Archive so make sure you bring them on Friday.

A donation of at least $5 will be charged for the use of camera's or scanners while at the Archive if taking pic's of books, files or doc's.

BRYAN Reunion of Descendants of William BRYAN, RS and his wife Elizabeth MOORE, of old Barnwell Dist, now Allendale Co.  June 20-21, 2003.  The reunion this year will be at the Ramada Inn Bayview in Pensacola, Florida, Friday and Saturday, June 20th and 21st, 2003.
