I am researching the Adkerson surname. Henry Adkerson b. Feb
14, 1843 d. Jan. 23 1930 served in the elite militia unit Chatham's Ga. Artillery
during Civil War. CSA marker on grave names him Henry Atkinson. Unit served
S.Carolina coast & Georgia. Believe he resided in low country and moved
to Sand Mountain Al after the war. He then moved from Sand Mountain Al. to
Merriwether Co. Ga. where he is buried. (3/23/99

a location known as Cypress Sc. I have been unable to find Christopher or
his Cypress SC which was sometimes refered to as Sypress SC. Christopher
died and his will was probated in London 1724. Can you help with either

military service record that he was born in Beaufort, SC, on 30 Aug 1829.
His father's name was Samuel Atwell and he was born about 1810, supposedly
in VA. Possible mother's name: Harriet Adams.I would greatly appreciate any
