Is there a list of the burials at Sheldon Church? MY Thomas Wright Rhodes
was buried there in one of those big box-looking burials. I saw it when I
was a teenager, but it is gone now. I do have a Bible with the particulars
listed telling that he was buried at Sheldon Church. I can copy that to whoever
is keeping such a list. His wife Elizabeth Pheobe Jenkins Rhodes was
buried at Land's End next to a son who was killed by a slave. 20 June

Ebenezer's wife's name was believed to be Mary (surname unknown). At least
four children were born to them, all of whom are believed to have been born
in Beaufort District of S. Carolina -- James T. RIGGINS (b. abt 1794 - ?),
Sarah (b.1796-1872), Ebenezer, Jr. (b. abt 1793- d. aft 1870), William G.
(b.1810-1880) [possibly Jasper H. b.1817]. I'd be glad to share information

Looking for the Riley family, Benjamin , Sarah (McBiede) Riley, Trotty,
Samuel Riley. African American descent, Though Trotty is listed as
Mulatto. Date of birth for Trotty is April 5, 1882. He married Susanna Robinson,
and moved to Savanah GA. Date is unknown. Found living with Mother Sarah,
Stepfather, brother Samuel, and grandmother in the 1910 census. Was working
for the post office at that time. Traced him to the post office in Philadelphia
PA in 1921. He remarried in Philadelphia to A Carrie Riley. Date unknown.
Had two children there, Trottie Jr., and Harriett Redd. No other information
available, except that his father Benjamin may be of white origin. 7

He married Elizabeth _____. They four children: Emma, b. 1838, d. 1885, m.
Daniel Simmons; Elizabeth, b. 1840, died young; Mary, b. 1842, d. 1898, m.
Wiley Thomas and James Brince Roberts, Jr. b. 1844. The family of Elizabeth
Roberts was found in the census of Beaufort County in 1850. James Brince
Roberts, Jr. was located in the 1860 census as living in the household of
one George Cope who was a merchant. Could Brince, Jr., have been apprenticed
out to George Cope to learn a trade? Would like to correspond with descends

nothing on this man. He is our brick wall. We could only go back to Hezekiah

am searching for information on my ancestors who lived in Beaufort S.C.
back in the late 1800's and early 1900's. My great grandfather was
Toby (Tobie) Robinson. He married an Eliza, last name unknown. They had two
Daughters name of Susanna, and Liddy, and four sons by the names of William,
Harry, Peter, and George. By the 1880 census, Toby was born around 1845,
and Eliza was born around 1848. I noticed an inquirey put out back in 1999
by a J.Edward Robinson looking for info on Jeremiah Backstitch. He and his
wife Ada Mirfe Russell had a daughter named Eliza among other siblings by
the name of henry, Jerry,, Ashton, and Sarah Rebecca. I sent Mr Robinson

1811. She finally settled in Washington/St. Tammany Parish on the Bogue Chitto
River. The children, as we believe are hers, are LURANY; JEMIMA; WILLIAM;

was listed on a passport with the Abraham Breland family and believe there
MIGHT have been a family connection. It is further believed that SARAH was

I have been working on a NC family named Rushing for lo, many years.
Of the several Rushings in Beaufort County in 1800 Nathaniel Rushing is the
only one who remained as he lived in St. Peters Parish in 1850 aged 75 with
a wife, Ann, 70 and both born in SC probably in Chesterfield County which
adjoins Anson Co., NC where most of the Rushings lived. Both are burned counties

The RYAN family left County Tipperary,Ireland about 1820-25,
landed in Charleston, SC and settled in Beaufort Co, SC. Family consisted
of Father, Mother, and young son, John J. Ryan, born 1817. They lived in
Beauford Co for a few years until the father died. He was Catholic and assume
was buried in the local Catholic cemetery. Am seeking cemetery records on
all Catholics with surname Ryan, who died 1825-35 in Beauford county. Trying
to establish full name and date of birth & death for father of John J.
