I am trying to find the area considered St. Peter Dist. in approx 1830-1850
located in Beaufort Co., SC. Is this a part of the county that was
divided into another county? I am searching for Baptist Church records
from that area. The families I am searching for are: Levi Youmans (b. ca.
1755); Stephen Youmans (1792-1864), who was a Baptist preacher; Levi Youmans
(1782-1869); and Henry Youmans (ca.1825-1875). Surname is Youmans/Yeomans.

I'm looking for information on the Young Family who lived
in Yemasee. My grand parents, Charles and Margaret lived on and were for
a time sharecroppers on the "COTTON HALL" plantaion. My father , Daniel Young
was born there. The property was owned by George and Gussie Martin. It is
thought that the Martin's migrated from Pennsylvania. My great-grandmother,
Roxana Chisolm, was thought to have migrated to South Carolina with them.
My father, Daniel is one of 6 siblings, Marion, Theodore (Ted), Daisy, Ulysees
and Lottie. The family is related to the Mitchells and Majors.
