Joseph Clark born 10 Oct. 1680 (VR Braintree p655)  to Joseph Clark "leaves no trace in Braintree."

PLEASE note all ye who enter here!  This entire section is simply an accumulation of records.  ONE of these migth be Joseph Clark's record, and none may be.  This is a work in progress.  To those of you who numbly just copy what those of us research and place on the web for others to use: retain all caveats. Otherwise, may ye abandon all hope!!!  (and those who may run across your postings thereafter surely so)

At 21, we might expect Joseph Clark born 10 Oct. 1680 to marry c1701. (I do not yet know that any of these records are referring to this Joseph Clark)

[In 1702, a Joseph Clerk, apparently residing in Cambridge, married Elizabeth Codman of Charlestown in Charlestown (VR Cambridge p80, int not recorded).  Joseph Clerk of Cambridge & Elizabeth Codman of Charlestowne, married by James Russel, Esq., JP 21 April 1702 (VR Charlestown p192).  Cambridge is close, but this is probably the Joseph Clark born 5 May 1679 to Jonah and Elizabeth Clark (VR Cambridge, this Joseph is NOT claimed by the Jonah Clark family for some reason).]

A Joseph Clark of Boston married Abigall Smith 23 Dec. 1706 by Jer. Dummer, Esq. (Boston Marriages V1, p18).

A Joseph Clark of Gloucester married ___ Pickworth of Manchester 6 Ju(ne?) 1706 (VR Gloucester V2, p131).

A Joseph Clerk married Sarah Lovejoy 7 Feb. 1709-10 in Andover (VR Andover p87).    Most of the Andover Clarks are descended from Jonah Clark of Cambridge, but curiously, they do not seem to claim the Joseph Clark listed in Cambridge birth records.

A Joseph Clark of Rochester married Thankfull Stevens 29 Dec. 1720 (int not recorded, probably means one of them was not resident in Rochester) (VR Rochester, Marriages, p 85).

A Joseph Clark of Boston was married to Abigail Smith 1706 (Inhabitants & Estates of the Town of Boston 1630-1822, ibid, p5077 NEHGS).

A Joseph Clark of Gloucester married Rachel Pickworth 5 March 1706-7 (VR Gloucester V2, p131).  I have found a few other Gloucester records that are intriguing.  Good to follow up.

A Joseph Clark of Boston was married 12 Apr. 1713 to Margaret Jarvis (int. Jarvise) by Cotton Mather (VR Boston, V1, p43.)((Also listed in Inhabitants & Estates of the Town of Boston 1630-1822 p5077).

A Joseph Clark of Boston married 3 April 1718 Experience Wheeler (VR Boston marriages, V1 p81)(Also listed in Inhabitants & Estates of the Town of Boston 1630-1822 p5077).
