Elias Clark of Duxbury. Children born 1794-1815 (History of the Town of Duxbury,  MA, with genealogical registers, Justin Winsor, 1849.):

(There was a John Clark who was the pilot of Mayflower and he had a son Thomas. This is in the Mayflower planters but there probably is no connection as I can't find a Joseph.   Richard Clarke died the first winter. I believe John went to R.I. Thomas married Susanna Ring a Mayflower descendent  (Richard C. Pierce rcpierce@myexcel.com).)

Thomas Clark, supposed mate of the Mayflower, arrived 1623, married Susanna, daughter of widow Mary Ring, before 1631, and died 24 March 1697 at 97.  He married 2nd probably the widow Alice Nichols of Boston, 1664, daughter of Richard Hallet.  (History of the Town of Duxbury,  MA, with genealogical registers, Justin Winsor, 1849.).  Is this Thomas Clark, The Pilgrim, of Plymouth, or are there two Thomas Clarke's here?? Children:

1. William Clark.  William Clark in Duxbury 1643. The 1645 Grant of Bridgewater to the Inhabitants of Duxbury included William Clark.  The wording makes it appear that William Clark was from Bridgewater, but removed to Duxbury at the time of this grant. (therefore "probably of Bridgewater 1645"); will dated 3 Jan. 1687, died same year.  He married Martha Nash. He bequeathed to her his land and orchard; to his "pretending relation:" William Clark of Plymouth, 18d; to William Coney, whom he brought up, his house.  His estate lb 50, as per inventory, 9 May 1687.  (no children stated in this record!, History of the Town of Duxbury,  MA, with genealogical registers, Justin Winsor, 1849.)  I think the Duxbury William Clark cannot be the son of Thomas Clarke of Plymouth, if the son of Thomas was alive in 1693, as the Duxbury William Clark died in 1687! (History of the Town of Duxbury,  MA, with genealogical registers, Justin Winsor, 1849.)  The statement in his will, of his "pretending relation" also confirms this statement.
