My branch of the Gills is readily traced back to Walker Gill of Green County, KY, but there the trail grows dim. It is documented that he has possession of 155 acres on Pitman Creek, and I discovered on your website that William Gill was granted 500 acres on Pitman Creek. It stands to reason that Walker Gill (born abt. 1811) is William's son. If you have run across any documentation to corroborate this assumption, I would be delighted to know.
