Charlotte Gill was born in 1823 in Maury County, Tennessee, and married  in Maury County, TN John A. Cook b. 1823 Giles Co., TN .  Family rumor has a relation to Robert E. Lee, but it is not known which side this is on. There may be a possible connection to a Porter line as well. Census records from 1830 TN show two possibilities - a Thomas Gill and a John Gill, both living in Maury County, Tennesse with a daughter aged 5-10.
