Summary:
Benjamin Gill came to St. Mary's County, MD from England before 1649. He was married, but apparently his wife and daughter remained in England. He was not living with relatives when he became ill and died. He came into the possession of Wollaston Manor, 2,000 acres, which was left to his son-in-law and daughter, if they came to the colony, which they did.
He had a kinsman, Robert Cole, in the colony. Have not determined the relationship yet. Benjamin Gill was either Anglican or Catholic.
