I need info on the following lines/connections: Gill/Goode/Lumpkin/Mills/Campbell and Rutherford Co., NC Gills.

 I am checking Joseph Gill of Rutherford and have found in Rutherford Co., relationships 1794 the names of who I think are Josephs children:

1. Henry Gill b.
2. Joseph Gill, Jr,
3. John Lumpkins Gill
4. Peter Gill
5. Jane Gill, married John Sullins (Sullens). Deed of gift from Joseph to his daughter in Rutherford County, NC, Will Book B, page 15 , 1793 . Joseph Gill gives his daughter,Jane Sullins, a slave named Betty. If Betty has issue the first child is to go to Jane's daughter, Sarah. If Betty is living at the time of Jane's death she is to go to the daughter.  John and Jane (Gill) Sullens move from Rutherford County, NC to St. Louis, MO, where Jane dies sometime after 1808. They had 11 children. I am from their 9th child, Peter Sullens.( More information on the Sullens family can be found on a website called Descendants of Richard Sullens, by Dr. M. Cole).  The Sullins (Sullens) family was established in Halifax, VA as early as 1760.  There are other Rutherford County docuements that mention Joseph Gill, Joseph Gill Jr., and Goodes.  Does anyone have any information on Joseph Gill in Rutherford County? I would be glad to share what I have and would appreicate any additional information you might be able to contribute.  Mary Sullens McEwan.  August 2004.

8. Patsy Gill b 1764, dau. of Joseph Gill Sr. married Jan. 28, 1789 Rutherford Co. John Goode. They only had one child:
   1. Margaret Goode who married her 1st cousin, Joseph Goode.  This is the line of B. Goode Hannah.

all these possible children are listed as cousins to the Good/Goode family.  I believe this is the Joseph Gill that came to TN from VA by way of NC (possibly gold mining seekers).

Joseph or Joseph Jr. could have had a daughter that married a John Campbell as he may be the same John Campbell listed in the White Co., TN census of 1820. Joseph's daugh. Jane married Harrel Byers also of Rutherford Co., and they are found in Warren Co., TN where they had a large family. Goods were also in Warren Co., as early as 1790. Warren Co., TN

Marriages prior to 1800 lists among some of them:

1. Betsey Gill and Moses Neal 22 Jan 1785;
2. John Gill and Betsy Mills 29 Nov 1788;
3. Daniel Mills and Mary Good, 2 Aug 1791; and
4. Joseph Good and Mary Lee 15 Jan 1828.

Henry was listed in 1850 Charles Co., VA census part 1 as being 60 and had neighbors Zebedee W. Lumpkin, age 63. Henry disappears from here in White Co., TN aft 1840.
