"Dr." John Gill, II, born 1754 died c1828 Served in Peyer im Hoff's Rev. War Company. 3rd wife Elizabeth Faust), 4th wife Alsey Gill {This variant makes "Dr." John Gill's children born rather late in life}

                                        |

John Gill born 1754 died before 1810, married first to Mary Ward and second to Agnes Dick, his widow who died 1819. Served in Peyer im Hoff's Rev. War Company.

                                        |

"Dr." John Gill, II, born c1773?? died c1828) 3rd wife Elizabeth Faust), 4th wife Alsey Gill {this variant makes Mary Gill, daughter of John Gill married Mary Jackson, an aunt of "Dr." John Gill, and not a sister. However, John Gill, son of "Dr." John Gill, was referred to as "IV" in an early Cupit record.}

John Gill, second born son of old James Gill, born c1733 ( Va.?)(hard upper limit <1743, rational upper limit 1738) died after 17 Feb. 1785 in SC, married c1753 in SC Mary Jackson born in Craven Co. SC, perhaps died c1773, perhaps married second Mary Ward after 1773. Perhaps married third to Agnes Dick, his widow who died 1819. Apparently John was dead by 1784. Agnes Dick lists two children's names that match those in the Mississippi oral traditions for this generation.

"Dr." John Gill, II, born c1773?? died c1828. If he was born as early as 1754, he could be the John Gill who served in Peyer im Hoff's Rev. War Company. 3rd wife Elizabeth Faust), 4th wife Alsey Gill {This variant removes all revolutionary war ancestors, which is inconsistent with oral tradition, unless "Dr." John Gill was born in 1754 and fits that record. This makes his first documented child born very late in life.}

John Gill born 1754 died before 1810, married first to Mary Ward and second to Agnes Dick, his widow who died 1819. Served in Peyer im Hoff's Rev. War Company.

                                  |

"Dr." John Gill, II, born c1773?? died c1828) 3rd wife Elizabeth Faust), 4th wife Alsey Gill

{This variant completely removes John Gill born c1733, inconsistent with earliest oral traditions, and removes Mary Gill married John B. Hart, unless she was a daughter of John Gill married Agnes Dick, which is inconsistent with Mrs. Jones' DAR application.}
