Scale .80 poles to the inch N.Carolina Wake County This plat represents A tract of land surveyed for the heirs at law of Jesse Gill Dec’d. November 1860

Beginning at the mouth of Langford branch on Nuse River thence up the course of the said branch about 61 poles to a poplar stump & pointers, W.H. Tate’s corner, thence with his line S 1 pole W 471/3 poles to a post oak, thence S 87 poles E 43 1/8 poles to a red oak, thence S2W 79½ poles to a red oak in Martha B. Allen’s line, thence ? 42 poles to a stake, thence S 1 pole W 2 poles to stake, thence ? ¼ W 132 1/3 poles to a stake & dogwood pointer, formerly five pointers as per deed, thence North 18 poles to a stake, this is the line of the Heflin deed, thence West 13¾ poles to small white oak, thence with the old line formerly known as the Truman line N 1¾ poles E 107 1/5 poles to a stake, thence S 89½ poles E 72 1/5 poles to a stake in the field, thence N ½ pole E 276 1/5 poles to a iron wood near a maple, formerly a hickory, on the bank of Nuse River, thence down the various courses of the same about 286½ poles to the beginning, containing, according to measurement, two hundred and eighty & 1/3 acres subject to a reduction of a small piece owned by Mrs. Agness Jones which will show by referring to her deed. ? There is some 8 or 10 acres ? on the West side of the plat South of the path rather in dispute.
