Pursuant to a decree made in the above entitled case at Fall Term, 1860 of the Court of Equity for Wake County, the undersigned clerk & Master proceeded to sell the land in the pleadings mentioned and disori? after making due advertisement of the same as directed by said decree on the premises, eighteen miles from Raleigh on the 4th day of January A.D. 1861; when and where Willis L. Thompson being the best and highest bidder became the purchaser at the price of eight hundred & twenty five dollars and entered into bond with Buckner Ray as surety. The tract of land contained two hundred seventy nine acres more or less, but it constituted mostly of old fields, and the Master is informed and believed it brought its value.
