Received August 18th 1871 of Buckner Ray admr. of Jesse Gill decd. One Hundred Seventy & 94/100 dollars in full of my distributive share of the estate of said decd. I being one of the children of Nancy Gill decd. and who married W. Ray first and afterwards married E.A. Parham.

Caltharp being one of the children of Nancy Gill decd. and a daughter of said Jesse Gill who first married W. Ray & afterwards married E.A. Parham.

The said Avery Parham being a child of Nancy Gill who first married W. Ray and afterward married E.A. Parham. This sum is now paid me under power of attorney and carry over from said Avery Gill to me which is duly registered in the registrars office of Wake County, North Carolina.
