JOHNSTON I am trying to find information on Jacob Johnston who was born about 1770 in St Peters Parish, Beaufort District, SC and died about 1830 in same area.  His father was Capt Nathan Johnston, b. 1738 d. about 1807.  I can't seem to find who Jacob married.  It appears he married about 1792 and they had nine children (not confirmed).  I have had different leads but no documents or other information.  One of his children was William Randal Johnston (my 3d great-grandfather) b. 18ll in St Peters Parish, d. about 1888 in GA. He married Mary Jane Robert b.1819, d. 1891.  Other information I have received  of another possible child, older than Randal, was Eleanor Johnston who married James Knight.  I would appreciate any information or contact in this matter. 29 May 2017 Glenda Rushing Drake
