FAUST |
By 1743, Henry FAUST was in Orangeburg District, SC where
he married Anna Maria ROTH. Some other FAUSTS came in the 1750's who all
seem to have been brothers to Henry.....Jacob, Peter, Casper, John and William.
All of these FAUSTS originally lived along Crane Creek and Broad River in
the Orangeburg District - the district later becoming Camden and still later,
Richland. Inhabitants of the district between 1763 and 1773 include Casper,
Henry, Jacob, John, Peter and William FAUST. Peter is listed in the 1790
Census and died in 1824. He had sons James, Buckner and Samuel FAUST; daughters
Rachel and Elizabeth. I am interested in finding anyone connected to these
FAUST brothers, and particularly in finding information on James FAUST, the
son of Peter.

I am interested in learning more info about Henry Faust, who arrived
in Orangeburg District (later Richland?) about 1743. His wife was Anna Maria
Roth. Henry was my gggg grandfather. His son, Christian, was my ggg grandfather.
Christian's son, Owen, was my gg grandfather and so on. Many of my direct
Faust dscendants are buried at Springtown Church near Bamburg, SC, but I
have no idea where Henry or Christian, who was born in 1743 and was married
to Eunice Abstance, are buried and would like to know. Based on my sparse
records, Christian was given a land grant of 640 acres by act of SC Legislature
in 1797. Would also like to know where Henry came from. Please contact
me. 19 April 2002 |

FRALIC |
Want to link my GGrandfather to his parents in SC. John George
FRALIC said he was b SC 1811 in a fort. Most likely candidate for father
is Charles FRALIC in 1820 and 1830 Richland Cty censuses. Charles and John
George arrived in Autauga Cty AL about the same time in the mid-1830's consistent
with the TAYLOR migration to AL. Was a Richland Cty fort manned in preparation
for War of 1812? Are there records? Would be most grateful for ANY information
on the Richland Cty FRALIC families and would be willing to share any and
all findings from other SC Counties. (1/25/98

FRANKLIN |
Seek info on Franklin family. My 2d great grandfather, William Wyatt
Franklin, born c1811 SC., appears in Escambia County, FL, by mid 1830s. Married
1st Delilah Holley, 2d Sara Dubose of SC. His father
was reputed to be a Thomas Franklin. The only Thomas Franklin who turns up
in West Florida or South Alabama about this time is a Thomas Jefferson Franklin
married to Elizabeth Sizemore. This Thomas was born c1780 in Richland County,
SC. The dates are plausible for a link. I would appreciate any information
on any of these people. 10Feb2000 |

CLEVELAND |
I'm trying to find info on my great-grandfather who was murdered
in 1910-1912 in we believe either Lexington or Richland counties. Is there
any old newsprint or couthouse records from that era that would be helpful?
If so, where would I find it? I have no name for my g-grandfather but his
wife would have been Alice Frye ? and they had four children, Bessie-Edna-Lillie
and my Grandfather Gary Carson Cleveland. My grandfather took the name Cleveland
but since he was only around 4 yrs old at the time we believe his last name
may be something different, maybe Cleland or another variation. The mother
Alice died shortly after and the children were orphaned, would they have
been in any kind of stste custody back then? Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you, Craig Cleveland (5/18/99
