Geiger Ave. Cemetery
Geiger Ave. off North Main St.
Columbia , S.C.
There is a Geiger Street Confederate Cemetery, located on Geiger Street which ran directly behind the old Confederate Home that sat on the corner of Confederate Street and Bull Street. This I know because my Great Grandfather of Co. C 3rd South Carolina Cavalry is buried there along with others. He was Francis Humbert. (no name given with submission) 19 Jan. 2001
This cemetery has the graves of Confederate Soldiers and some of their wives in an enclosed section. In the outer area are many graves of South Carolina State Hospital patients marked with numbers only. There are a few marked graves on the outer area that I am not sure are State Hospital patients.
