Census records show the Oree family residing in the Lower
Richland Township in 1900. This census record shows the surname written as
"Horry". It shows a Wilson Horry at the age of 57,being married for 25 years
to Elizah Horry and having 8 children. Born: 1843 Occupation: Farmer. One
of the children is our grandfather. If you know of anything that could help

I am researching my Father, John Dial Outlaw, born Dec. 27, 1913-14 in
Columbia. He always told us he was adopted and his real name was Boone. I
have already contacted the state and they told me, if they did the adoption,
the records were sealed when he died in 1974. His birth might have
been in the newspaper when he was born. I was born and raise in Greenville,

I am searching for the parents of Mary Curtin Outing(Outen) b abt 1826
in SC. Listed on 1850 census as wife of Ensley Duke in Fairfield County SC
(census area was in Richland County in 1870 census) by which time she is
dead. Suspect she had brother named Daniel Outen. Any leads appreciated.

Looking for the parents of these ORR children: Sophia, born
Abt 1880 married ----BURTON Burton, born Abt 1883; Edd, born Abt 1888; Sloan,
born Abt 1892. On the 1910 census Burton Orr is the head of the household
with brothers Edd and Sloan and sister Sophia and her children (Martha
Jane[1900];Alice[1902]; Lois[1904]; Reed[1906]; and Eddie[1908]). Sophia
ORR BURTON died between 1910 and 1920 and Alice was placed in the State Hospital
for the Insane, and Eddie is in the Rescue Orphange, believe Lois is there
too. All of them eventually ended up in GA, where Martha Jane married William
Marion Carr.
