Carolina Sandhills National Wildlife Refuge and Sand Hills State Forest |
Covering 46,000 acres of land and water, the Carolina Sandhills Wildlife Refuge refuge supports a wide variety of plants and animals. An auto tour route, hiking trails, and observation towers provide opportunities for environmental education, bird watching, and photography. If you are interested in wildlife, this place is definitely worth visiting. The adjacent Sand Hills State Forest offers even more hiking trails. |
Cheraw State Park |
Cheraw State Park offers plenty of hiking trails, camping, golf, and a 332-acre lake. A group of Cypress trees will be found at the upper end of the lake. |
