46th South Beach Access

(North Myrtle Beach)

Located along the East Coast Greenway, this is one of the many public beach access points in North Myrtle Beach.

Barc Parc

(Myrtle Beach)

This park has a fenced-in area around a pond where dogs may be allowed to roam free and swim without being leashed.

Galivants Ferry Landing

This river landing on US #501 is also listed as a Wildlife Viewing Area.

Hurl Rocks Park

(Myrtle Beach)

Nestled among the high-rise hotels of Myrtle Beach, this is one of the many public parking and beach access points. As an added bonus, a historic marker is placed here in honor of William Bartram.

Little Pee Dee River Heritage Preserve

This preserve protects some important wetlands along the Little Pee Dee River.

Myrtle Beach State Park

This popular state park is a great way to see the beach. In addition, numerous hiking trails run off into the woodlands.

Sam Cox Park

(Garden City)

This small park has a playground, picnic tables, and a walkway that provides a spectacular view of the marsh.

Vereen Memorial Historical Gardens

This park features hiking trails and wooden boardwalks that extend across several beautiful salt marshes and small islands, with a nice gazebo that overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway. With convenient access directly off of US #17, you can park and take a 5-minute stroll out across some incredibly scenic pathways to find yourself at a wide observation deck extending into the waterway.

Warbird Park

(Myrtle Beach)

This park pays tribute to the men and women of the Air Force who lived in Myrtle Beach for almost 40 years (1954-1993) while serving their country. Included are several military aircraft on display, plus a viewing area for the runway which now serves as a civilian airport.
