Andrew Jackson State Park |
This park was created as a monument to Andrew Jackson, the seventh president of the United States. There are several rustic looking buildings, including a museum, picnic shelters, and a meeting house. Hiking trails take you through terrain with some interesting plant life. The camping area features complete facilities, paved roads, and several lakeside campsites. |
Forty Acre Rock |
The most prominent feature of this area is a massive rock that you can walk across and admire the scenery. Many unusual plants can be found here, and there are hiking trails with several steep climbs. |
Highway 9 Landing |
This boat ramp under the bridge provides access to the Catawba River, and nothing more. |
