Name Description

Andrew Jackson State Park

This park was created as a monument to Andrew Jackson, the seventh president of the United States. There are several rustic looking buildings, including a museum, picnic shelters, and a meeting house. Hiking trails take you through terrain with some interesting plant life. The camping area features complete facilities, paved roads, and several lakeside campsites.

Forty Acre Rock

The most prominent feature of this area is a massive rock that you can walk across and admire the scenery. Many unusual plants can be found here, and there are hiking trails with several steep climbs.

Highway 9 Landing

This boat ramp under the bridge provides access to the Catawba River, and nothing more.
