Canal Recreation Area to Bonneau Beach

Traveling from east to west, this section of the Palmetto Trail begins in the Francis Marion National Forest at the Canal Recreation Area, which provides parking, restrooms, and drinking water. Shortly afterwards, it emerges onto the Lake Moultrie dike, affording some wonderful views. It continues along the dike until reaching the Bonneau Beach community, near Flood Landing.
