Sandy Beach Wildlife Management Area Re-diversion Canal

After crossing over the Re-diversion Canal, the Palmetto Trail runs along the north side of the canal for a ways, then goes over to the dike along the marsh north of Lake Moultrie. After a while, an alternate route (shown in brown on the map) takes you closer to the lake and to a primitive campsite before rejoining the main route. Eventually you will reach the Sandy Beach Wildlife Management Area. This entire segment is in Berkeley County.
