The Ballentine Farm Museum, founded by retired dairyman William Ballentine, has a collection of horse-drawn equipment, hand tools, and household goods dating as far back as the middle nineteenth century. Tours are given by appointment for individuals and groups. Call ahead to arange a free tour.

How to get there

Despite its name, this museum is not located in the town of Ballentine. It is on US #76, about 6 miles northwest of Newberry, SC.

Take I-26 to exit #74 and go west on SC #34 2.4 miles (3.8 km.). Turn right on US #76 (Wilson Road) and go northwest about 7 miles. Look for a sign on the left for "Ballentine Farm Museum".
