Operated by Charleston County, this park provides public access to the beach on Kiawah Island with showers and dressing rooms, plus a picnic area overlooking the marsh. Lifeguards, a snack bar and beach rentals are available at certain times of the year.

How to get there

Located on the west end of Kiawah Island.

Take I-26 to exit #212 and go west on I-526 (Mark Clark Expressway) 11.2 kilometers. Exit onto “US #17 North” and go east on the Savannah Highway 5.6 km. Turn right onto Folly Road (SC #171) and go south 1.9 km. Turn right and go west on SC #700 (Maybank Highway) 11.5 km., then turn right onto Bohicket Road (#20). Follow Bohicket Road south 16.8 km., then turn left onto Kiawah Island Parkway. Go southeast on this road 3.2 km., then turn right onto Beachwalker Drive. Take this road to Beachwalker County Park.
