The Catawba Cultural Preservation Project Center maintains a collection of historic American Indian displays and artifacts. The old reservation schoolhouse now houses numerous displays plus a craft store. A nature trail takes you down to an archaeological site, a Native American garden, and a reconstructed bark house. At the end of the trail you can get a magnificent view of the Catawba River.
