This historic site was established to interpret Charles Pinckney's role in the development of the United States Constitution, his plantation, and the transition of the United States from a group of colonies to a young nation. Interpretive exhibits highlight these areas as well as the influences of African-Americans in the development of Snee Farm. Twenty-eight acres of a 715-acre plantation called Snee Farm are also preserved in the park.
