This state park is a popular place for launching boats onto Lake Wateree. Many picnic tables overlook the lake, and there is a small playground. Several hiking trails wind around Desportes Island and the mainland. The camping area features a paved road with 72 campsites, some of which are on the lake.

How to get there	Take I-77 to exit #41. Then go east on secondary road #41 4.2 km. (2.6 mi.) to US #21. Turn left and go north for 3.5 km. (2.2 mi.) on US #21. Turn right onto secondary road #101 and go east 8.2 km. (5.1 mi.). The park sign will be on the left.
