Surles Cemetery
Copied by Sheila Berry, Dec 2001
Direction: Leaving Dillon going toward Floydale on highway #57.
Go about 3 miles and turn left on Pee Dee (River Access Landing Road).
On the left is an open field and where the woods start is a barn.
About 25 yards in the front of the barn is the cemetery. If there are
anymore graves out there I couldn't tell. I have however called someone
to clean it off, so hopefully we will find more. Only one is recorded
so this is why I called it "Surles". Nettie Jackson was the first owner
of this land according to people in this vicinity.
Edward Surles born 7/5/1779-died 7/24/1867
