      The book is hardbound, about 550 pages on acid free paper in a convenient library shelf size. Part I is a 26 chapter narrative covering the period from mid 1700s in Colonial Virginia to the present time. It includes numerous photographs and documents such as land records, wills, letters, marriages, etc. Part II is a descendancy section which contains listings of more than 7,000 Gaddy and related persons with birth and death dates where available. The narrative section is fully documented and indexed. The descendancy is indexed for the first two generations.
