Built by Elmore C. Allen and known today as the George Allen House. George Allen, son of Elmore C. Allen, lived here and took care of his sister Nettie. This is the oldest house standing in Latta. You can look in the attic and see that this house was put together with wooden pegs. The Allen house is now owned by Mr. Lenneau Berry, current mayor of Latta, and his wife, Sheila Berry.
