PFC Freeman's mother, Mrs. Norma Freeman, was a widow at the time of her son's death.
Spelling of wife's maiden name is unverified; one newspaper has "Exie Pigler", another has "Exie Peagler";
1948 newspaper states burial would be at Riverside Cemetery (not found in 2001 survey of Riverside).
