MARTIN CRAIG MOODY
August 2, 1921 - July 17, 2003
Graveside services for Martin Craig Moody, 82, will be held Saturday,
July 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery with Rev. David Taylor officiating.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 18 from 6:00 p. m. to 8:00 p.m. at the home
of Holly Moody at 913 East Main Street, Dillon.
Mr. Moody passed away Thursday, July 17, 2003. He was born in Dillon and
lived there most of his life with the exception of his tour of duty with the US Army
and thirteen years employment with the U. S. Coast and Geodetic Survey. He was a
retired registered land surveyor. He was a member of Main Street Methodist Church,
a past member of the Dillon Volunteer Fire Department and a Mason.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen Belden Moody;
two sons: Michael Craig Moody of Dillon, Martin Vol Moody and his wife Jan of
Kensington Maryland and one daughter Holly Lu Moody of Dillon; five granddaughters:
Given Moody of Dillon, Kada Moody of Surfside Beach, Andrea, Kelsey and Kimberly Moody
of Kensington, Maryland and one grandson Craig Moody of Columbia. Also a sister in law
Eleanor P. Moody of Andrews. Being the last surviving member of his immediate family
he was preceded in death by his parents Richard Lattie and Azile Martin Moody and two
brothers, Richard L. and James W. Moody.
