Enoch L. Ayres 79 years old, a respected citizen of this section and a successful farmer, died at his late residence Sunday morning. Mr. Ayres was a Confederate Veteran having entered the service in the 8th SCV, serving under Lee and Jackson in Tennessee and Virginia.
