Two Deaths At Dillon
Mrs Hanson S Blizzard and Mr D M Carmichael
Special to the State.
Dillon---May 14---Mr D M Carmichael died at his home at Carr,
about six miles northeast of Dillon, on the night of the 14th, and his remains
were interred at Pudu [sic] Presbyterian Church in that neighborhood today.
Mr Carmichael was about 65 years of age and has been in a rather feeble state
of health for some months past. He was one of the wealthiest men in the county;
had been eminently successful as a planter and merchant, and was at the head of
the recently established firm of the D M Carmichael Company of this town.
He was also largely interested in a wholesale business in the city of Marion.
