Southern Christian Advocate, Vol 68, #24 pg 15 col 1, issue dated December 8, 1904,
from Sandor Teszler Library of Wofford College:
Price---Addie Leland Price was born July 6, 1883 and died at the home of her parents,
Mr Austin and Mrs E M Edwards, in Latta, SC., October 29, 1904.
It was not my privilege of the writer to know her until the early part of this year.
In the first conversation we had with her, we found her soul longing after its God,
and Christ as a Savior. As best we could we explained the plan of salvation to her
and pointed her to the "Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world." From that
time on til death called her away, we watched with peculiar pleasure her progress in
the divine life. Her faith was that of a child so trustful and strong. The last she
ever said to us on the subject of religion was, "Brother Thacker, my whole thought
now is about Jesus and His love." After a long and strong battle for life, her lamp
went out. She leaves a devoted husband to mourn her loss, together with her parents
and several brothers and sisters and a large number of friends. On Sunday afternoon,
we laid her body in its last resting place in the cemetery here to await the
resurrection of the just.
