Death of John R. Jackson

John R. Jackson, aged 69 years, died at his home in Hamer February 18. Mr. Jackson had been in bad health for about two years and recently spent several weeks in a hospital in Columbia. Failing to obtain relief he returned home when the end came a few days later.

The burial took place Saturday February 20, in the cemetery at Kentyre Presbyterian Church, after funeral services by Rev. F. J. Hay, pastor of the Dillon Presbyterian church.

Mr. Jackson is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Eva Campbell, of Laurinburg, N. C., a brother, Andrew Jackson of Virginia and five grandchildren.
