Southern Christian Advocate, Vol 93, #3 pg 13 col 4, issue dated January 17, 1929, from Sandor Teszlor Library of Wofford College:

Mrs Angeline Lane

Mrs Angeline Lane, a well known and highly esteemed woman, died at her home, in Fork, Monday night, December 31, 1928. She had been in failing health for several years. Funeral services were conducted at the home, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev A V Harbin, and the interment was made in the family burying ground near here.

Mrs Lane was seventy-six years of age. She has been a resident of this place all of her life, was a faithful member of the Hopewell Methodist church, and was a woman of Christian character.

Mrs Lane before her marriage was Miss Angeline Owens. She was married to J M Lane twenty-eight years ago, he preceding her to the grave eight years.

She is survived by only nephews and nieces.

Those who have known her, found that she possessed the qualities which make up real character. She did many a golden deed the world never knew. She cared not for the world's fame, but she always pressed toward the mark of high calling of Christ Jesus. She has passed into eternity, but her influence shall live forever.
