Obituary of
Laura Lee CURRY
DILLON --- Laura Lee Curry of 545 Roberts Road, Dillon, South Carolina,
formerly of West Lowman Street, Mullins, South Carolina, died peacefully on May 15,
2006.
She was born on October 22, 1916, in Hamer, South Carolina, the daughter of
the late E.P. and Katie Elkins Lee. She lived most of her life in Mullins
where she was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a Sunday School Teacher,
RA Leader, BTU Teacher and very active in the music ministry. She was a
talented pianist and played in churches for many, many years. After she moved to
Dillon, she transferred her membership to First Baptist Church of Dillon.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Hagood Curry, to whom she was
married for 64 years; one sister, Clara L. Small; three brothers, Neil C. Lee,
Roy J. Lee and Ralph Sikes Lee.
Kannaday Funeral Home, 1252 Highway 57 South (Mullins Highway), Dillon, South
Carolina, is in charge of arrangements. Friends may visit at the funeral
home from 7:00 until 9:00 Tuesday evening, May 16, 2006.
Funeral services will be conducted at First Baptist Church in Mullins on
Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery,
Highway 301 North, in Dillon.
