Furman Hyatt Dies
Furman Hyatt, 62, well known farmer and large land owner of the Pleasant
Hill Section, died suddenly at his home Monday night, March 30, and was apparently in
the best of health when he was stricken. Mr Hyatt was unmarried and lived alone.
He was the son of Whit and Nancy McKenzie Hyatt. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at Pleasant Grove church by Dr J A Ward, pastor of the First Baptist church of Dillon, and burial was in the church cemetery.
The pallbearers were: Walter Arnette, Wilbur Arnette, Victor Butler, Robert Blackwell, Pearl Wiggins, and Jasper Harrelson.
Mr Hyatt is survived by one brother, Truss Hyatt.
