Mrs Sarah McKenzie

Mrs John McKenzie passed away at her home at Mt Calvary Tuesday, March 17, and the news of her death brought sorrow to her many friends and relatives. Mrs McKenzie was the former Miss Sarah Hamilton, daughter of Whit Hamilton, and lived in the spot where her husband was born 88 years ago. Mrs McKenzie died at the age of 86, having been married 70 years.

She is survived by the following children: Isiah H., Willie, Whit, Carey, Fred, and John Gary McKenzie. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive her.

Services were conducted Wednesday morning by Dr J A Ward and interment followed at Mt Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Lonnie Graves, Robert Blackwell, Robert Wiggins, Paul Wiggins, Bill Herring, and Pete Allen.
