REV. W. M. BARRENTINE DIES AT LAKE VIEW
After a long period of ill health, Rev. W. M. Barrentine age 72, passed
away at his home. He was a native of Latta but moved to Lake View several
years ago. His widow, Laura Mae Butler, and the following children survive:
Andrew, Washington, D. C.; Riley, Albemarle, N. C.; Aaron, Lake View; Mrs.
Maggie Napier, Albemarle, N. C.; Miss Annie C. Barrentine, Charlotte, N.
C.; Mrs. Lennie Kiser, Wadesboro, N. C.; and Miss Lena Barrentine, Marion,
S. C.. Also the following brothers and sisters: H. G. Barrentine, Lancaster,
J. H. Barrentine, Lake View, Elisha Barrentine, Conway, S. C., Mrs. Lucinda
Owens and Mrs. Indiana Rogers, Marion; Mrs. Elizabeth Caulder, Dillon, and
Mrs. Mary Carter, Lake View. Funeral plans are incomplete.
He possed an outstanding kind and sympathetic disposition and took a keen
enjoyment in rendering services to others. One of his favorite mottos was
"Speak Evil of no person."
