Miss Margaret Bethea, Dillon, Dies in NC.
Chapel Hill, NC., Feb 8—(Special)—Miss Margaret Emily Bethea died at her
home here last night after an illness of a few hours.
A resident of Chapel Hill for the past seven years, where she was in business as a
florist, Miss Bethea had endeared herself to many friends. She was a native of South
Carolina, where she taught school for a number of years after being graduated from
Coker College.
She is survived by her step-father, W E Allen of Dillon; five half-sisters, Mrs
Charles Powell of Los Angeles, Calif., Miss Virginia Allen of Chapel Hill, Mrs Charles
Laney, Miss Billy Kate Allen and Miss Lucy Allen, all of Dillon, SC.
Funeral services will be conducted at the residence of W E Allen in Dillon at 11
o’clock Friday morning by the Rev Frank Lyon, pastor of the First Baptist Church of
Dillon. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemtery, Latta.
