Mrs. Martha Powers Age 86, Died Monday
Mrs. Martha Powers, 86, died Monday at her home here after a long illness.
Born and reared in this county, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Surles.
Funeral services were conducted at Pleasant Grove church Tuesday afternoon at
4 o'clock by Dr. J. A. Ward, pastor of the First Baptist church.
Interment was in the church cemetery. She is survived by two children.
Pallbearers were Raymond Rogers, J. M. McKellar, R. S. Cox, John L. Dean, K.
Y. Clark, Gaston Taylor.
