Mrs Thompson Dies at Dillon
Dillon, Jan 3--(Special)--Mrs Truss B Thompson, whose husband is a prominent
farmer and tobacco man of Dillon County, died at her residence on Calhoun Street early
this morning after a long illness.
She was a daughter of Mrs Annie E and the late L C Braddy of the Carolina
section of Dillon County. After attending local schools, she was graduated from Coker
College. While a resident of Dillon, she was a devoted member of the Dillon Methodist
Church, taking part in missionary work and other activities of the church. She was a
member of the DAR and a charter member of the Avon Book Club.
She is survived by her mother and her husband; two daughters, Mrs James
McLellan of Dillon and Mrs Flora T Post of Fayetteville; the following brothers and
sisters; L C and R A Braddy, Alley Braddy, Mrs Kate McLaurin and Mrs W C Bissette
of Dillon, Mrs L E Roy Moore of Spartenburg, Mrs Thad W Hamer of Great Falls, and

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at the residence followed by
interment at Dothan Cemetery.
