Mrs. Junius Turner Claimed by Death
Mrs. Vina McGirt Turner, 67 years old, died in a local hospital Monday after being critically ill for several weeks.
Mrs. Turner was a charter member of the Second Baptist Church and was very active in church affairs for many years.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 4p.m. at Second Baptist Church, with the Rev. E. L. Colman officiating, assisted by the Rev. W. R. Craven. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Dillon.
Mrs. Turner is survived by her husband, Junius Turner, by five daughters, Mrs. E. M. Coates and Mrs. Tom Barfield of Dillon, Mrs. Vestor Jacobs of Rock Hill, Mrs. J. L. Wall of Sylvia, NC and Mrs. Higginbotham of Atlanta. She is also sruveved by the following sons: Thad of Charlotte, F.F., of Rock Hill, F.C. and C. M. of Bladenboro, W. A. of Dillon and Junius, Jr. of McColl and by 26 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
