Funeral Services Held For Leonard Berry Mon.
Funeral services for George Leonard Berry, 57, who died Saturday night
at his home in Hamer and after a long illness, were held at Mt Calvary Church
Monday at 4PM., with the Rev Mr Hodge in charge. Burial was in the church
cemetery.
A son of the late Russell Berry, he lived his entire life in Dillon County.
Surviving are 10 children, Colon Berry, Wiley Berry, Miss Bobbie Berry,
Miss Mary Berry, Mrs Fanny Ruth Bourgoin, Mrs Josephine Hayes, and
Miss Margie Lou Berry, all of Dillon County, and Mrs Floria Earp of Florence,
Mrs Carrie Morris of Fayetteville and Mrs Katie Jones of McColl; three sisters,
Mrs Lettie Wiggins, Mrs Ida Williamson, Mrs Penny Lee of Rockingham; and three
brothers, Raymond Berry of Bladenboro, Daniel Berry of Haynes, Alaska, and
Luther Berry, of McColl.
